Treasury Rules

Operation:
The Guild Treasury will be run by Kelendra (Main Contact) and all guild items and coin will be placed on the guild bankers mule character, Banca Barb.

Donation: All coin and items donations will be given to Kelendra/ Banca to take inventory of, record donater, and displace to the guild mule. Any coin or items given in this manner cease to be owned by the donating member and becomes property of the guild Bane Of Darkness. These donations will be used to equip the characters we have or to help with money advances for equipment purchases, spell components, plane raids, offers of thanks, and guild events. This includes tradeskills.

Loans: All loans from the guild treasury WILL be paid back in a timely fashion for coin loans. There are two types of coin loans that will be allowed:
1) Contributer loans: This loan on coin SHALL be paid back to the guild in a timely fashion with a 10% markup you barrow 100pp you return 110.
2) Non-Contributer loans: This loan on Coin SHALL be paid to the guild in a timely fashion, with a 25% markup. You barrow 100pp you return 125.

Equipment Loans:

1)The equipment that is loaned to you by the guild is not your property to sell, and must be returned; a.) upon leaving the guild. b.) upon replacing the item with new or better items.
2)The item you are replacing with a guild loaned item SHALL be given to the treasury as collateral (Exceptions pending) The borrowing member may choose to donate the replaced item at anytime.
3) The amount of guild loaned items per member depends on the price of items that wish to be loaned. It is unfitting
conduct to have numerous valuable guild items being loaned to one guild member at a time.
4) Members will be given the chance to purchase the loaned item at a reduced cost depending upon economy.

Tradeskill Loans:
When requesting a loan for a trade skill, it is vital that you let this be known. The reasoning for this is: A trade skill loan makes you responsible for 2 things: The cost of the initial loan (Materials, if you are using the tradeskill loan appropriately.) and one half of what ever profits are made while selling guild sponsered tradeskill sales.

Tradeskill loans may be payed back in some cases by the items created by the craftsman. you create a platinum ruby veil, you don't have the time to sell the item, you instead give the veil to the treasury, who will take fair sale price for the item being given, deduct the initial loan, determine how much of a profit (after material loan is deducted) and give the crafts person thier share of the item profits then and there.

Example: you take a 200pp loan to work with some platinum jewelry, you use that 200pp to buy the materials you need. you make two platinum ruby veils retailing for 400pp, you sell both of them for 800pp.

The break down of payments to the guild is as follows
1) you pay the guild the 200pp Material cost you bought.
2) you split the other 600pp down the center 50% for you and %50 for the guild and pay the other 300pp to the guild.
3) you keep 300pp for yourself, (call it a commision for your work well done).

NOTE: This only comes into effect if the member is using guild funds to support thier tradeskill habits.

Abuse of guild coin and equipment Loans:

1) Abuse or misuse of guild funds and equipment is considered a request for loss of guild title.

2) abuse includes: a.) numerous coin loans without intent to pay back in a timely fashion. b.) The selling of guild owned items for personal gain.

3) Including saying you need a tradeskill loan and not producing a crafted object. (fails noted, all tradeskills will fail some or most of the time) But you will still be responsible for money borrowed reguardless of failure.

GUILD RAIDS
1) all items looted on a guild raid is property of the guild.
- These items will be GIVEN to participating raid members who need them. If an item is not used then it will be GIVEN to any guild member that can use it who is not participating on the raid (multiple possible users will require randoming). If no one in the guild can use, then the item is donated to the Guild Treasury for selling/ equipping future members.

2) The Sanctioned Raid Leaders hold the right to give looting rights to members who can and will use the equipment as it is obtained.

3) All Non Guild member usable loot obtained at a raid will be turned over to the treasury for inventory and sale of items to pad the guild bank account. The one noted exception is that if it is usable by a guild member off line it will stay in the guild bank until said person logs in.

4) Items that are used by multiple classes that are present shall be randomed upon, numbers to be determined by the raid/group leaders.

5) On all high level raids any and all precious gems shall be turned over to the raid leader. NO EXCEPTIONS. The gems shall then be 1) sold to add more cash to the bank. 2) given to the spell caster that can use it as a spell component (Symbol or rune casters in most cases) or 3) used to make jewelry by the master crafts workers in the guild.

6) Failure to comply with this will warrent a warning on misconduct.

Storrage of quest related items
1) Items that are gained in Raids that are quest related and are NOT NO DROP can be stored in guild space.
-EXAMPLES-
a) Quest jems for Velious armor quests
b) jade Reaver for the druid epic quest.
Etc etc.

2) I believe personally that Quest items like those listed above and far more should be given to the needy member without need to repay the guild, with one exception to the rule. *EXCEPTION* if the quest item was bought using guild cash flows. if this is the case then the amount of the sale will need to be paid back to the guild.

3) ONLY RULE on Quest Items in guild space is: that the item will go to the person that is furthest along in the quest. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Overall loans from guild assets

1) The guild SHALL never Loan out more then %50 of it's total coin assets. once the guild has %50 of the guild coin out in one form of loan or another, the loans are hearby placed in standby mode. LITTLE OR NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

Goals for treasury:
1) To be able to support our guild on guild raids to the Planes, Guild sponsered events, and Tradeskill advancement.

2) To be able to make cash donations for other guild help in the event our guild can not do what is needed alone. (i.e. epic eccounters, a botched plane raid, coffins to summon corpses, Exp Ressurections etc etc)

3) To be able to give the members a chance to withdraw money from the guild to buy items when they see them.

4) Offer members saleable items at a discounted price from the guild storage. (Items donated that were NOT from guild raids)

5) To have enough money to be able to buy equipment from other players if the deal seems sweet enough.

(example) Ethlered has been looking for a piece of tolans armor for some time. The guild mule is in EC selling some trinkets to make more money for the guild. Sees that the piece of tolans armor is being sold for a good deal less then normal. Buys the item and places it into the guild so that Ethlered can purchase it from the guild when he logs in. (at cost of the original sale)

6) Depending upon cooperation from the rest of the guild and the growth and size of the guild fund, we might be able to outfit our guild with full sets of armor, or weapons etc etc the possibilities are endless.

SUMMARY OF TREASURY RULES
-An overview of the rules to help avoid any confusion-

1. Items gained on guild raids: These are GIVEN to needy members. First choice is given to participating members, second to non-participating members, and finally if there are no takers, the item will be deposited in the guild bank for sale/ equipping future members.

2. Items donated to the Treasry that do not come from guild raids: These items are available to guild members one of two ways:
A. Members can purchase the items at a discount cost. (we are still discussing wether a set discount will be used).
B. Members can borrow the item from the Treasury. Now they have two options: 1. Use the items until they gain a better one, or 2. purchase the items at anytime from the Treasury.

3. The rules only apply to items (gems are considered items). All coin, fine steel weapons, etc are property of the looters.
